Pay the price for your paradise

You know what I never got to see, despite wanting to see it when I was in the first year at BG? Series 7: The Contenders. Must go look it up (it was an Australian film about a reality TV show where the contestants had to kill each other).

Also Lisa at work brought me in the new Pride and Prejudice, so I get to see it. Yay!

In other news, last night I watched two episodes of Blackadder the Third and a bit of A Bit Of Fry And Laurie. Sadly there was no QI on (and since I discovered Hugh Laurie was on it, I have become obsessed with finding that episode), but Waking the Dead is on tonight. It's not the one with the nutty girl who wasn't nutty and Paul Kaye, and it's not the one with the best line ever and that weird Greta woman. It's also not the Kill Bill one, because I saw that last week. The synopsis says something about a woman who killed her family in an arson attack, which I don't remember but I have a bad feeling it's the last one.

In yet more tv news (I'd forgotten I was like this when I didn't have 57 million words to write in recaps), I watched Hex. I do not want to get into Hex but it looks like I don't have a choice, as my brain does. Quite why, I don't know, as the Ella and Malachi thing bores me (though he was wearing a fantastic shirt at one point last night) and the only characters I actually like are Thelma and Leon. And if further evidence was needed that I am not mean to be into this show, I have many questions (what *did* Thelma die of? How long has she been dead? Why did Ella and the new girl have the same annoying cut on their fringe*? What's the deal with Malachi and the various other people whose names I have yet to get? How come Thelma can type on computers and pick stuff up? How does she keep getting carrier bags of food and drink? Is there a ghost supermarket?) and although I probably could find the answers somewhere, I can't be bothered to go and look for them. Hmph. And, even more telling than that, I have no idea if there is fanfic and I can't be bothered to go look.

And to change tack entirely, astounding news. I didn't switch the laptop on last night. Not once.

Oooh, and before I forget, Crishna are you about on Sunday? I have to spend the whole day with Dear Saturday so I'm going to need to get out of the house. Plus I have stuff for you.

Second-best news ever in the world of chocolate, now: milka have started doing their cow chocolate in Woolworths. I'm not sure of the actual name but I call it cow chocolate because it's milk and white together in a kind of cowskin pattern. And it is the yummiest thing ever. EXCEPT for milka bubbly chocolate, which I have only had once in germany, and if they brought it over here I might cry with happiness.

Work stuff: IC DOES NOT LISTEN to anything I say. Yesterday I was working on a spreadsheet to show Evil Supplier just how evil they were, and I was telling everyone I was doing it and nothing else. At LEAST three times she came up to me and started going about other stuff, which had nothing to do with ES or anything relvant. Sjkfbaskbfjkasbf.

Also, I had another talk with my boss in which I pointed out there is no hope of me getting on top of this work *and* doing it well. He's finally starting to listen, and I might get some help, but I'm still leaving (note to self – look for jobs, idiot).

*this might just be me. Fringes annoy me and the last time *I* had one was when I was about ten.
