Aloha

How are you all? Have about 700 flist entries to go through. Had a great weekend, hopefully a big long entry tomorrow, but firstly:

>> OMG so HOT what the hell?

>> We have Boosh series 1 on DVD!!!!!!! It has loads of extras and commentaries!!!

>> Have been watching The Wire on FX, mainly because Idris Elba (Vaughan from Ultraviolet) is in it. It is a good show, and he is still fit. Yay. Am trying to find DVD for less than £35. May have to – gasp! – venture online.

>> Possibly because of the above, I really want to watch Ultraviolet again (sadly was too tired last night). I am considering recapping it Spooks-stylee (ooh, that reminds me…)

>> Have seen first Spooks trailer!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was only a clip in the BBC Autumn commercial, but was definitely Fiona!!! And Waking the Dead too!!!!!!!!! Yay Autumn TV!!!!

>> I have done a fair bit of Christmas shopping already :D Yes, ludicrously early, but come December I will be all calm.

>> I still love this icon.

>> When is that bloody Nightwatch out, anyone? I want to see it.

>> it only took half an hour for LTC 2 to bug me this morning.

>> Got a computer magazine at the weekend with yet more fonts :D Haven’t had time to look at them.

>> Made a load of Goldfrapp icons over the weekend, will post tomorrow when I’ve found my USB stick.

That meme Meg did

1. When you look at yourself in the mirror, what's the first thing you look at?

Atm my nose – it hurts and I’m trying to figure out if it’s a little bit sunburnt or if I just managed to hurt myself in my sleep or something (happens a lot in my family)

2. How much cash do you have on you right now?

About £6 I think.

3. What's a word that rhymes with "TEST"?

Rest

4. Favourite plant?

My spiky plant that is now the only thing on my windowsill.

5. Who is the 4th person on your missed call list on your cell phone?

Probably Dear.

6. What is your main ring tone on your phone?

Dragostea Din Tei by O-Zone (‘mai ah hii, mai ah ha, mah ah hii, mai ah ha-ha’ I can quote more). It’s very good for a polyphonic tone.

7. What shirt are you wearing?

Try not to wear them in this heat (29 degrees in London today omg no NEED). Greeny blue vest top.

8. Do you "label" yourself?

Try not to.

9. Name brand of your shoes currently wearing?

BHS own brand sandals

10. Do you prefer a bright or dark room?

Bright most of the time

11. What did you have for breakfast?

Weetabix. Boring.

13. What were you doing at midnight last night?

Sleeping, which made a nice change from the rest of the weekend. I was frigging exhausted last night.

14. What did your last text message you received on your mobile phone say?

Ham am using my old phone until credit runs out x

15. Do you ever click on "Pop Ups" or Banners?

No

16. What's an expression that you say a lot?

Loads:
‘When you are the moon...’
‘Dude.’ (usually answered with ‘Dude.’)
‘And it’s just, er, whisky tango foxtrot?’
‘Oh, shut the fuck up.’ (but kind of elongated – it’s a Dear/me thing)
‘Bernard! Bernard! Bernard!’ etc...
'Can I have a banana?'

(NB Dear and I agree that we have very few original conversations - we mainly just quote comedians at one another)

17. Who told you they loved you last?

Dear when I told her I was going to get The Mighty Boosh while I was out.

18. Last furry thing you touched?

I have no idea. Probably some scarf thing in a shop.

19. How many hours a week do you work?

Lots.

20. How many rolls of film do you need to get developed?

Pah. I do not use rolls of film, I have the suberfab digital camera for all my photographic needs.

21. Favourite age you have been so far?

23.

22. Your worst enemy?

Dear, in her blacker moods, or her difficult moods.

24. What was the last thing you said to someone?

Ok, I’ll pass the message on.

25. If you had to choose between a million pounds or to be able to go back in time and fix all your mistakes which would you choose?

The money, because you’d just make more mistakes after that.

AAAAARGH

FUNK, I am pissed off right now. Before I left on Thursday, I gave a list of 10 sites to a colleague of mine and asked him to copy them over to the tender tracker. He tells me – not even when I first get in, but at about 11 – that he ‘didn’t have time’ (which I take to mean he either forgot or couldn’t be bothered).

You WANKER. Those sites should have been on the tender tracker WHEN YOU GOT IN on Friday morning, a job which would have funking taken all of five funking minutes. And now, they’ll be new on the tracker today, despite some of them being marked ‘urgent’. They’ve lost five days, and I was specifically asked by K to put those sites over, and now they’ve been delayed you GIT.

AND he’s part of the tender team, so he knew what to do AND how important it is to get this stuff done quickly, AND he’s supposed to be my contract support. If he can’t even do this for me, how can I get him to do anything else?

And I failed to say any of this at the time and I can’t really go back and have a go now. GAH.

And I’m repeating myself but OMG I hate contracts.

Not even the internet wants to sell me The Wire cheaply :(

Oh well, I’ll just go to the shops…wonder if I can get to Woolworths before it shuts? Actually, I could just go to Bromley tomorrow after work to take my very overdue books back to the library and then get it there…
